I am Eirini Tsitsipa, a licensed psychologist with a degree in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki<\/strong>, holding a professional license to practice psychology (No. 5327\/04.09.2012).<\/p>\n

I am certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT25-169)<\/strong>, having completed a four-year training program with the Hellenic Association for Behaviour Research (Macedonian Branch), a member of the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT). Through the same institution, I completed a further two-year specialization in Obesity and Eating Disorders.<\/p>\n

I hold a Master\u2019s degree in Dementia: Causes<\/strong>, Treatments and Research from University College London (UCL)<\/strong>, which I completed on a scholarship.<\/p>\n

Over the past 14 years, I have gained extensive clinical and research experience working in hospitals and mental health services in both Greece and the United Kingdom. I have worked as a consultant at the Greek office of the World Health Organization (WHO)<\/strong>, collaborated with the Counselling and Psychological Support Center of the University of Thessaly, and served as a lecturer and clinical supervisor for psychology students at Metropolitan College.<\/p>\n

Since January 2024, I have been working in private practice in Larisa<\/strong>, offering therapy sessions both in person and online to adults and adolescents.<\/p>\n

I am an active member of one of the International Research Ethics Committees (Research Ethics Committee)<\/strong> in the United Kingdom, where together with the other members we review the scientific validity of clinical trials across various fields, as well as research ethics and ethical standards.<\/p>\n

In addition, I collaborate with the Division of Psychiatry at University College London (UCL)<\/strong> on research projects focusing on the pharmacokinetics of risperidone in individuals with Alzheimer\u2019s disease, as well as cognitive functioning in neurodegenerative disorders. My work includes contributing to scientific publications and research papers.<\/p>\n

During my undergraduate studies, I attended numerous seminars and conferences in the fields of Psychology, Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry, and Neurology, along with specialised dementia training provided by the Alzheimer Hellas Association. I completed my clinical internship at the 1st Neurological Clinic of AHEPA University Hospital<\/strong> in Thessaloniki, and my undergraduate thesis focused on the characteristics of early-onset dementias.<\/p>\n

I then obtained a Diploma in Clinical Mental Health<\/strong> from the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of Papageorgiou General Hospital<\/strong>, Thessaloniki, and for several years served as a scientific associate at the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic of AHEPA University Hospital<\/strong>. Afterwards, I worked as a Psychologist for the Hellenic Police<\/strong> in Paranesti, Drama, providing psychological assessment and support to refugees.<\/p>\n

Between 2015 and 2022, I worked within the UK National Health Service (NHS)<\/strong>, gaining further experience in both clinical and research roles. My clinical work included forensic psychiatric services, psychiatric intensive care units (PICU), emergency mental health services, and memory clinics. I worked with individuals aged 12 to 84 presenting with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, eating disorders, personality disorders, and dementia.<\/p>\n

During my time in the United Kingdom, I also worked in Research and Development (R&D)<\/strong> departments within NHS hospitals, where I was responsible for the review and approval of research protocols across various medical specialties, including Psychiatry, Neurology, Oncology, Sexual Health, and Gynaecology.<\/p>\n

I have published work in scientific journals<\/strong>, contributed chapters to psychiatry textbooks, and translated psychiatric manuals<\/strong> for students, psychiatry residents, and other healthcare professionals. I have also presented at national and European scientific conferences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I strongly believe that continuous professional development is essential. For this reason, I actively engage in ongoing training through seminars, workshops, and webinars. My additional training includes areas such as Sexual Health, grief-focused psychotherapy interventions, psychological support in breast cancer, and crisis and disaster management.<\/p>\n
